- Ray Parker, Jr. (or Midget as he was called then) was the last remaining puppy from a litter of six at the Humane Society in Irving, Texas. It was the saturday before Valentine's Day, 2001. I was informed that four other people had pending adoption papers on Midget; intitially; I was discouraged, but decided to put adoption papers on him anyway. On Valentines Day, I received a call from the Humane Society to inquire if I was still interested in adopting Midget. I couldn't believe that the other four people fell through, and I was lucky enough to get him. It must be fate!!!
